Feeders lose to Milwaukee Black N' Blue PDF Print

Black N Blue RugbyMilwaukee Black N' Blue traveled down to St. Cloud to keep this tradition alive.  This is the fourth spring match they have played in four years.  The match started off with the Black N' Blue back-line score a pair of quick tries.  Their full back proved to be very shifty and did a good job of running thru gaps.  The Feeders eventually got control of the ball and pounded some hard inside running to tie the game up.  From here on out it was the Feeders controlling the ball and scoring.  Black N' Blue took advantage of small mistakes by the Feeders and managed to stay in the game with some long runs.  With 10 minutes left in the game the score was tied.  A Black N' Blue penalty right in front of their uprights allowed the Feeders to convert and they were up by three points.  The Feeders made a good run of it but got a little aggressive in the last minutes of the game.  The Black N' Blue ran in a 60 meter try a couple minutes out of full time to take the lead.  This proved to be too much of a hill to climb for the Feeders.  Final score was 31 - 34 (roughly), Feeders loss.  Tough loss although I think it was a good learning experience for a lot of the new players on the field.  We look forward to traveling to Milwaukee next year to avenge this loss.
