Feeders A-Side Vs. Metropolis Killer B's

The Feeders started the match a little sluggish. Metropolis capitalized on some early penalties to attempt a field goal but missed from 22 and 35 meters out. That seemed to light a fire in the Feeders and their pack pounded in the first Try of the game. The following kick was marked as good from the touch judges but the referee over ruled the called it no good. Making the score going into half time 5 to 0. This call by the ref would end up being critical to the final score. In the second half the Feeders continued to pound the ball down field. Another Try was scored early in the second half. The conversion was good and the score was 12 - 0. Metropolis went on to control the ball for the final 30 minutes of the game. Feeders struggled to maintain possession when they had it they turned the ball over keeping the Metro team in the game. Metropolis eventually scored a Try with roughly 10 minutes left in the half. The defensive effort on the side of the Feeders was great but not enough. Score was 12 - 5. The Feeders continued to stop Metro but with the game in full time Metro punched one last Try into the corner of the Try zone. With the score 12 - 10 and a very difficult kick for Metro the Feeders still looked good but alas the Metro kicker rose to the challenged and converted making the final score 12 - 12. Lots of lessons learned here. This will make the MN playoff race a little more interesting.

Feeders B-Side Vs. Lakehead Exhiles A-Side

With a lot of new recruits the Feeders finally have enough players to fill a full B-Side, however with many new players the lack of experience showed. The Lakehead Exhiles put a couple tries in early on taking advantage of the new players. It took a while for the new Feeders to adjust to the pitch but by the end of the first half they were shutting the Exhiles defensively and mounting a couple good offensive sets. They eventually managed to score a Try in the Second half but it was too little too late. Exhiles sailed to an easy victory and the Feeders B-Side gained some valuable experience. Final score 42 - 7.
